Sunday, 12/12/10: "Lost and Found"

Verlyn Klinkenborg hates losing things on his farm, but luckily his self-draining hydrant is working fine as of press time.

A double-header! Was hoping to see your summaries of his two most recent posts today.

Your sarcasm about Verlyn's NYT articles is unfounded and bitter. Are you jealous of him? I look forward to these lovely slices of life, and his musings, on the farm or not. Some people enjoy reading other NYT articles about a slower kind of life, such as Modern Love in Styes on Sunday, and Will Shortz' articles on cruciverbalism, for example. Some of us actually care about simpler things and different ways of life, and like to also know about things other than wars, politics, celebrities, disasters and sports. May I suggest you consider giving Klinkenborg a break?

Oh, no Elizabeth! Consider it as the savory for the sweet making a complete and tasty feast.

I finally find a reasonable comment/blog in here. I agree with Elizabeth 100%.

One wonders what our blogger does with the rest of her time. Does she have another site expressing jealousy toward, e.g., Gail Collins? Is she afraid to write more than a line or two, afraid she will expose her prose to the real world?
